Abstract

The article focuses on the application of a modular blind production strategy in Brazil from the
perspective of the civil automobile sector. This article aims first to show the modular strategy, that is
applied in the automobile sector, and then to analyzes the application of the modular strategy mainly
in the armored vehicles Astros and Guarani, produced today in Brazil by the companies AVIBRAS
and IVECO. To achieve the objective, a descriptive, hypothetical-deductive research was carried out,
in which it was sought to confirm whether the modular strategy brings benefits to the civil automobile
industry, it will also bring the same benefits to the Brazilian military vehicle industry. The paper
concludes that the strategy is being well applied and bringing benefits like what it brought to the civil
industry, with some caveats.
